The Netherlands, and especially Amsterdam, is the home to many Dutch masters. Maybe one of the most famous is Rembrandt who originated from Leiden. Leiden has a special meaning to Ian because that is where  his Mommy and Daddy met eachother.  Are the following pictures a signal that Ian will become the next Dutch master? A week with Daddy

Mommy was away last week. I entertained myself with daddy, but I did miss my mommy  a lot!

I took lots of baths

Daddy didn't let me starve

Offered me some coffee

I spilled it on the couch

He let me cry for a while

Play in cupboards with food

Dumped me on grandpa's lap

Let me play

I gave a little performance

Ate some cookies

Played with sticks outside

Tried to escape ;) , to find mama

And had lots of fun with Dadda.

Yeah daddy took me to the playground

And left me by myself for a while.

Cookie monster revealed

Ian is a cookie monster, plain and simple.  He knows how to say 'cookie' which makes his demands even worse.  He screams until he gets one, if we do decide to give in.  He loves the 'nijntje' cookies - similar to nila wafers in the U.S.  What have we created??  We need to stop this addiction fast!

It's a miracle!  A bath tub?  Really??  Yes, folks, indeed it is a bath tub.  In Amsterdam apartments, they are quite the commodity.  We finally had one installed.  Our bathroom is tiny, but somehow we managed to find a decent sized-tub!!  Ian just LOVES it.
