Hey Ian

Yes, Ian, Mr. Talkative (you talk almost non-stop and sing out loud on the bike when we cycle, as well as at home). The big news for this month is that you are not wearing any diapers anymore (during the day). That's very good news for mommy and daddy. Good job, little man!

Toddler Ian

Ian is a sweet little (demanding) toddler.  In these photos, he had a bloody nose - being the toddler that he is - and in the 2 photos at the end, he is showing Sona his toys.  He especially likes to show his animals one by one to her.  It's very cute and we enjoy watching.  Of course, one of these days, she will be grabbing these same toys to play with and we hope Ian is just as sweet as he is now (riiight)!

Trying to steal the spotlight from my sis

So, my parents scheduled a little photoshoot with Hanneke Heijt for Sona, but since Sona was not cooperating, Ms. Hanneke took some photos of moi (not originally planned, but who can resist)!  My mom wasn't very happy that my shirt was dirty and my hair was disheveled. But, hey, I'm still handsome, right?  I mean, just look at my dreamy blue eyes!

Ian seems so big!

Now, with Sona around, this boy seems huge! Cute big brother!

Soon to be a big brother

Ian is soon to be a big brother and it seems like he is catching on, given his recent mood swings.  I am sure there will be the normal jealousy issues, but I think he'll be a wonderful, caring big brother!!  We will create a separate blog for the little girl, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, here are some photos from an impromptu photoshoot of Ian and the baby belly.

Ian LOVES doing puzzles, playing little card matching games, and playing some fun learning games on the i-pad.  He has also started counting things and can count in English and Dutch - sometimes without any help or prompting from us.  He speaks primarily Dutch, but can understand English well, sometimes mixing them in a sentence.  His favorite animal is his blue sock monkey. :-)  Oh, and he really enjoys singing various nursery rhymes, mostly Dutch, because his mama also likes singing the Dutch ones ;-)

Little reader

Ian loves to copy mama with propping up his feet, as well as sitting on pillows (not pictured).

Geen sneeuwpret voor Ian

All the kids around here are enjoying the few inches of snow we have. Not Ian!!
