Happy and Starting to Walk

Yesterday was my Dada's 31st birthday!  He's just great. I love him so much and I know he loves me - for one thing, he takes a million photos of me!

I did take my first several steps without help the other day.  Unfortunately, my parents were too late with the cameras, so they forced me to do it again, but I refused. Hahaha...

Ian's 3rd highchair

Well, Ian didn't really stay put in the other highchairs, so we have got a new one.  Third time's a charm! As you can see, he likes it! :)

I am 1, hear me roar!

Ian is ONE year old today.  1 on 11-1-11 (or 1-11-11) depending on how you want to write it ;)  He kept us waiting for a while, 2 weeks late, including 4 tough days in the hospital, but you finally appeared!  The past year has been a complete blast watching you grow, learn and develop.  You've always been a little fast with things - rolling over at 3 months, scooching around at 6 months, lots of teeth, standing since 8 months or so and, now, walking around with help.  You're so close to walking - on target for that milestone.  You are also a big boy (+2 on the Dutch charts!)  We know, because you're breaking our backs! ;-)

We love you and cherish every moment with you.  You've become more demanding and loud in voicing your opinion, but we love your character.  You are nearly always happy and smiling, with the biggest smile full of lovely little teeth.  You love to play and to explore, explore, explore. You are determined and daring. You LOVE electronic things and cords. You like to dance by bouncing up and down and you can finally clap your hands!  You also drum your hands on every surface and upset our downstairs neighbors!
You are our little man and we only look forward to cherishing more moments with you in your life!  Happy Birthday, Ian!
